Aloha!! I'm so happy you came for a visit!!  Some of you came and sat a spell with me on the porch of my log cabin back in Tennessee and viewed my website I created called Keli'sCountryRoad  Since then I had to replace my computer and decided to create a new website but is more or less a continuation from the old site..I will be adding more pages as I go along and hope you will enjoy them!!

A little about me and my family...My name is Shirley Ruth Makekau and I am also called Keli(Hawaiian for Shirley) ..Tsuli(Cherokee for Shirley) and my name given to me at my naming ceremony is StarsHaven.  I am of Cherokee,Irish,Dutch,English descent..born in Fork Mountain, Tennessee way back in the ancient year of 1938..I am married to a Native Hawaiian and he's ancient too..born 1935 in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii.  We have four children and nine grandchildren.  I lived on the island of Maui for 30+ yrs and almost 2yrs ago we retired and  moved to the Big Island called Hawaii, living on Hilo side of the island.. upcountry in an area called Mountain View.

Now I don't have a porch but I do have a rock garden with a few chairs so we can sit outside and look at all my posies,fish pond and talk story. And we can have us some refreshments too. Maybe my husband, Nakai, will come out and join us and seranade us with some old Hawaiian songs..just like the one you hear here on my homepage.
